This division consists of one Plant Operations Supervisor, one Chief Plant Operator and three Plant Operators.  The responsibilities of this section consist of operating and maintaining a 3 million gallon a day wastewater treatment plant, nineteen lift stations, three well sites, two pressure reducing stations and all related equipment. 

 

This section of the Utility Department is governed by rules and regulations mandated by state, federal and local agencies.  These agencies constantly review the plant operations to insure compliance.  Some examples are the Safe Water Drinking Act, Lead and Copper Ruling and permit parameters.  Personnel in this division are licensed and are subject to fines, jail sentence, license removal or civil action for non-compliance.
