Water Plant Shutdown - March 10, 2010

WATER PLANT SHUTDOWN SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY, MARCH 10, 2010 - FOR INSTALLATION OF A NEW SERVICE DISTRIBUTION WATER LINE

The shutdown is scheduled for Wednesday, March 10, 2010.  We are looking for the shutdown not to exceed 11 hours.  It will start at 6:00 am and end, hopefully by 5:00 pm.

The customers of La Marque will be using emergency back-up well water.  We encourage all residents to conserve water whenever possible during this time frame.

La Marque customers may experience taste, odor and/or rusty water problems - we will not flush to correct these problems until Thursday, March 11, 2010.

This information is in regards to the Citizens Alert System telephone notification that will be issued at 5:00pm on Tuesday, March 9, 2010.

We encourage all citizens to promptly report water leaks to the City of La Marque, Public Works Department at 409-938-9280 or after hours at the La Marque Police Department at 409-938-9269.
