[ARCHIVED] Low water pressure on the west side of La Marque until this afternoon

download-1

Beginning at 11:00 a.m., areas of La Marque may experience low water pressure while the broken valve is replaced.

Before Hurricane Harvey, a contractor doing an inspection of a 12-inch water main broke a valve causing a leak on FM 1765 between Garrett Street and Delany Road. Flooding from the storm forced crews to postpone repairs. As soon as flood waters subsided, La Marque Public Services restarted repair efforts.

Beginning at 11:00 a.m., areas of La Marque may experience low water pressure while the broken valve is replaced. Impacted areas are Saltgrass Crossing, Painted Meadows, Delany Cove and citizens on the west side of La Marque. THIS IS NOT A BOIL WATER NOTICE. Water is of high quality and safe to drink. Please be patient. Water pressure should be restored by end of day today, Friday, September 1.
