[ARCHIVED] Trash Talk: Republic Services catching up after Hurricane Harvey

download

Normal trash schedule expected to resume Thursday.

LA MARQUE, TEXAS (September 5, 2017) – Republic Services resumed trash services to the citizens of La Marque Friday, September 1, 2017, with a focus on putrescible trash, or household waste that decays. While they do their best to complete the routes each day, long lines at the landfill are slowing down the process.

If your normal trash day was today and they didn’t make it to your house, Republic will be there tomorrow. According to Republic officials, City of La Marque should be able to catch up and return to our normal garbage schedule this Thursday.

Recycling is suspending until further notice. If the recycling container is at the curb on trash day, it will be serviced as a trash cart.

Storm debris removal is a separate process and The City of La Marque is diligently working on a FEMA-approved plan for debris, brush and limbs. We appreciate your understanding. Please be patient. We are all in this together.

City of La Marque will provide updates as they become available. Register for ConnectCTY and community e-notifications to stay in the know: http://cityoflamarque.org/145/Stay-in-the-Know.
