TEXAS CITY – On August 7, 2018 at 7 a.m., Texas City ISD will be coordinating joint training exercise active shooter drill with multiple local agencies at La Marque High School. Anyone in the area of the school may notice an abundance of emergency response vehicles around La Marque High School. There is no need to be alarmed. Representatives from Texas City and La Marque emergency management, Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, Texas City Police Department, La Marque Police Department and Precinct 3 Constable in conjunction with Texas City ISD will be utilizing the campus to conduct various police and security active shooter response training scenarios. TCISD held a similar exercise at Texas City High School on March 14, 2018. This drill will conclude at approximately 1 p.m.
