According to section 29.3 of the City Ordinances of La Marque, the discharge of fireworks within the city limits is prohibited. A citation or ticket can be issued for a fine of up to $2,000. More importantly, fireworks burn at extremely high temperatures and can cause significant fire damage.
This is extremely important in our community due to the layout of the subdivisions and the close proximity of the houses, not to mention the stress it causes our pets and citizens with PTSD. Thank you for all the assistance you can offer it is much appreciated!
