Due to inclement weather the COVID testing scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, 2020, is canceled. Rainy conditions can contaminate samples in the drive-thru format. The testing event will be rescheduled.

Residents are encouraged to contact their primary care physician for COVID-19 testing if they have come in contact with someone who is COVID-19 positive or are experiencing symptoms including cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing or at least two of the following symptoms: fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and new loss of taste or smell.

Galveston County is partnering with UTMB to offer free COVID-19 and antibody testing for Galveston County residents. Testing is available by appointment only and free to the public at three different sites in Galveston, League City and Texas City. County residents may schedule an appointment by calling 832.632.6731. A government-issued form of identification will be required at the time of testing to verify residency.
