Annual citywide cleanup event proudly hosted by Keep La Marque Beautiful Commission. Free tire recycling is available for car and light truck tires plus free bulk trash dropoff for La Marque citizens.
The Keep La Marque Beautiful Commission is hosting Fall Sweep from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at La Marque City Hall. Citizens of La Marque are invited to drop off unwanted household furniture, tree limbs or large bulk items at 1111 Bayou Road free of charge. Free tire recycling is also available for car and light truck tires.
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Step 1: Grab your La Marque Utility Bill or ID.
Step 2: Load your items & meet us at City Hall.
Step 3: Follow one of our volunteers & be prepared to unload your bulk items into a dumpster.
Masks and social distancing are required, and sanitation stations will be available for participants. Volunteer street teams, shredding and contests are on hold this year as a COVID-19 safety precaution for our citizens, volunteers and city staff.
Keep La Marque Beautiful Commissioner Alanah Brown encourages citizens to continue the spirit of Fall Sweep this year by doing roadside cleanups near their own homes as a family or with small groups of neighbors.
“Cleaning along our own streets is an individual activity that can unify our community as a whole,” Brown said. “Imagine if citizens all over La Marque did quick cleanups in their neighborhoods with their families. If we all contribute just a few minutes, we could sweep our town free from litter.”
Citizens who participate in La Marque Fall Sweep on November 7 are encouraged to share stories on social media.
