Recently, the City of La Marque received two new emergency notification sirens, which are located at 1001 Vauthier and 1725 Magnolia. These new sirens were possible due the generosity of local industry through coordination with the City of Texas City Office of Emergency Management. Updated technology and equipment will provide more effective notifications should an industrial or weather related incident occur. In addition, the new equipment and locations allow the same coverage with fewer towers.
In the near future, you will notice the old emergency sirens being removed from the following locations: Laurel & Montgomery, Highway 3 & Cedar, Magnolia & Possumtrot, and McKinney & Vauthier.
