THIS WEEKEND: Texas Department of Transportation will be switching IH-45 southbound main lanes into the next construction phase this weekend.
From FM 1764 to FM 1765 two of three IH-45 main lanes will be closed. Internment closures of exit and entrance ramps are planned, including Delany Road. Expect delays.
Closures begin at 9:00 p.m., Friday, January 29 and continue through 5:00 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021. TxDOT provided detour maps.
Short-term closures of ramps along this stretch of the interstate are expected. During those times, contractors will stop traffic and resume service in short bursts.
Delany Road will be closed from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021, and then intermittently for short durations throughout the weekend.
FEBRUARY 6: Two projects to our north will impact traffic patterns in La Marque. Please refer to the map and information page provided by TxDOT. The IH-45/Holland Road intersection will be flipped so IH-45 passes over Holland Road, and a new intersection will be constructed so that IH-45 passes over Lago Mar Boulevard.
