The City of La Marque has issued a BOIL WATER NOTICE. Water for drinking, cooking and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for human consumption. City of La Marque water customers should expect a widespread reduction of service from Wednesday, February 17, 2021.
Residents should reduce water usage significantly. Please conserve. Only use water if it's essential for health and safety. Do not drip faucets. Showers should be limited to five minutes or less and landscape water use is prohibited. If you have a leak, shut off water to your home as soon as possible. If you have a leak and are unable to shut off the water supply, call LMPD Dispatch at 409-938-9269, option 4.
We realize many citizens have no power. Use bottled water if you are not able to boil.
Water availability is critically low across Galveston County. Most of Southeast Texas is under a boil water notice at this time.
Gulf Coast Water Authority delivers water to municipalities in Brazoria County, Fort Bend County and Galveston County, including the City of La Marque. Power outages and equipment failures due to prolonged freeze have caused critical GCWA infrastructure issues.
City of La Marque Administration was notified that water service could be suspended to La Marque later today. Public Works crews are currently shifting to well water delivery.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system officials will notify you that the water is safe for consumption. Instructions to discontinue boiling will be issued in the same manner as this notice.
