UPDATE 5:40 PM 10/12/2021
BOIL WATER NOTICE
If you have low or no water pressure at your home or business you are under boil water notice at this time. We will share updates as they become available.
TxDOT contractors working on the I-45 expansion project broke a water main at Texas Avenue and 45 in La Marque around 3:00 PM, causing low-to-no water pressure for citizens and businesses across the city. Citizens in the area around Kelley's Restaurant and Lake Road are without water at this time.
La Marque Public Works crews are assessing the damage and contractors with specialized equipment are en route. We anticipate the repairs will take several hours, and we'll post updates as soon as they become available.
We understand our citizens are frustrated. We ask for patience as we work as quickly as possible to restore water service. We are aware of this issue, so there is no need to report it at this time.
As a reminder, and for future incidents, city staff monitors social media, but we aren't always online. If you notice low water pressure during regular business hours, please report to La Marque Public Works at 409-938-9280. For after-hours utility emergencies, report to La Marque Police Department Dispatch at 409-938-9269. Citizens are also encouraged to use our online reporting system by visiting concern.cityoflamarque.org.
