The PW Department is working to resolve a low water pressure issue in the area of Azalea & Ross. We have identified that a waterline leak exists, but have not pinpointed the location. We are adjusting system valves to restore pressure ASAP
UPDATE [Jan 25, 2022]
We adjusted valves last night to restore pressure. We had no calls last night for low pressure. However, we are bringing in larger flows from GCWA - we are meeting with staff again this morning to review plans to find the leak. All Public Works staff is assigned to this problem – including Street and Operations.
Most likely this leak is in an unpopulated area or running underground to the Bayou -- We will be performing some system isolation tests using control valves in an attempt to pinpoint the leak location – during those valve shut-downs, there may be a short time of low water pressure in the affected areas.
PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU NOTICE RUNNING WATER ANYWHERE IN LA MARQUE.
