With mixed emotions, we announce Captain Curtis Barber's retirement from the La Marque Fire Department after an incredible 27-year journey filled with dedication, growth, and exceptional service to our community.

Celebrating Captain Curtis Barber's Remarkable Career and Retirement from La Marque Fire Department! 

It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of Captain Curtis Barber from the La Marque Fire Department after an incredible 27-year journey filled with dedication, growth, and exceptional service to our community.

Captain Barber joined our department in July of 1996 as a first-year rookie firefighter. With perseverance and a commitment to excellence, he quickly progressed through the ranks, becoming a Firefighter Engineer just a few years later. His passion for the fire service and his unwavering dedication to protecting and serving others were evident in everything he did.

In October of 2023, Curtis reached another milestone in his career when he was promoted to the esteemed position of Captain. As a leader, Curtis left an indelible mark on our department. His vast knowledge, exceptional skills, and willingness to go above and beyond have not only made him a respected authority but also a mentor and friend to many.

Throughout his tenure, Curtis has had a profound impact on our department's growth and success. He has consistently demonstrated his deep-rooted commitment to the well-being and safety of our personnel and the community we proudly serve.

Beyond his professional prowess, Curtis's warm and friendly demeanor has made him a beloved figure within our department. His ability to foster camaraderie and create lasting connections has brought us closer together as a family. We will miss his contagious positivity and unwavering support.
