La Marque Parks Closed for 4th of July Weekend

Closures of beaches and other facilities in proximity to La Marque have increased concerns about the potential for unsafe overcrowding in our parks this weekend. Closures will begin at sundown on Friday and remain in effect until sunrise Monday morning.

La Marque had twenty (20) additional confirmed cases reported today, raising our total number to 269. Five (5) additional deaths were also reported in the county today. The Galveston County death toll now stands at 45.
